WMES PTA BY-LAWS

PROPOSAL TO AMEND

In accordance with Article XVIII of the by-laws (the "By-laws") of the Waples Mill Elementary School PTA (the "PTA"), notice is hereby given that a vote will be taken at the regular meeting of the PTA on January 19, 2012 at 10:00 AM on the following proposed amendment to the By-laws:

Article VIII Section 3(d) shall be amended to read that "A person shall not be eligible to serve more than three (3) consecutive terms in the same office.  A person who has served in an office for more than one-half of a full term shall be deemed to have served a full term in such office."

Currently, Article VIII Section 3(d) states that "A person shall not be eligible to serve more than two (2) consecutive terms in the same office.  A person who has served in an office for more than one-half of a full term shall be deemed to have served a full term in such office."

The Nominating Committee will present a slate of officers at the March 15, 2012 PTA meeting and elections will be held on 

May 17, 2012.  All officers serve for a one year term.
